The lighting looks really good on the figure and the cloud, but I think that the sun sould be way more to the right, possibly out of the format altogether, for the lighting to be completely coherent (at least that´s my impression).

The contrast between the woman and the cloud - the softness and the detail on her clothing is excellent. Well done

augustopatino - You are of course right about the sun - I cheated my ass off. I think it was actually much worse at an earlier stage of painting. I tried extending the canvas but it didn't look right, so I cheated!

Nell - yes she has fingers - the left hand is obscured by cloud... not sure how well that comes across though - my eyes have gone funny from looking at it too long

Fooxoo - erm... yes... I think that was down to lazyness during the initial sketching... just don't tell anyone... oh... you already did...

Cool concept man. I'd hold onto this for a future remake when you develop your skills more. (you already realize the lighting error so no sense in repeating it)

But don't be mistaken: It's loads better than most work in this genre. Good job.

Well... the thing with the lighting was - it wasn't so much an error as a (bad?) choice. I realised quite early in the painting that I was greatly exaggerating the lighting angles - But I thought it looked more dramatic that way. And I didn't want to remove the sun because I liked it as part of the composition. So I kept it as it was even though I knew it was wrong, and people would probably point it out...

But now I've given in and altered it...
