Very nice work...the only critque I have is the grass in the forground appears to be too sharp....I found my focus to be distracted to the bottom of the image...maybe if the grass in the foreground was desatureated at bit or blurred out some...that's it for me...wonderful work.

The soft warm feather made me think of an angel, a good entity, a beautiful lady... but the cold color of her skin started to make me wonder if this was maybe something a little darker, something with an evil tone that maybe I shouldn't walk up on. That complexity is great...

What is that? A dark angel? I like the wings, even if they look more hairy than featherly. Maybe that's what I like about them...? And the design of her clothes too. It's cool. I don't have much to complain about, it just lacks something special to make it a top scorer. +8

Thanks for all the comments - I was quite suprised to see so many this morning! Snotblow - Maybe you're right (I've been looking too long to tell!). I thought maybe the tighter more refined detail of the figure would draw the eye away from the grass. Perhaps I should have made it softer. Jane - I think I get a bit carried away with those soft underfeathers

Beautiful flow in the wings! They look very natural. The girl's very pretty to, but the overall impression could win alot by slightly adjusting her (almost purple) skincolor due to the other dominant bluetones in the image. Very beautiful!

Thanks for all the comments - you inspire me to work harder! vernardm - About 95% Painter IX and a little bit in Paint Shop Pro. This is actually my first finished piece since I got Painter IX. My other pieces were a combination of PSP and Painter Classic. Time and Fate was a pain to do - i had to break it into sections to work on it in Painter Classic - otherwise it would just crash! I'm a lot happier now I'm using Painter IX.

It's impossible not to fall in love with the movement and spontaneity. You've done a fine job in breaking paradigms of 'normal' angelic/demonic/other features with those fantastic wings. The consistency of the feathers reminds me of a cassowary or emu which is of course very cool. And and, I recognise you from MESS Studios
