Description
Only in the most peaceful corners of the countryside could you find such a sight... and such a sight would likely be your last...This is a remake of a picture I attempted before, but couldn't finish. I tried to do this one with a faster and freer style - and I kind of succeeded. But... well... I still ended up spending more time refining that I'm happy with.
I'm letting it go now - hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for looking!

Your description says exactly what I was thinking.
The soft warm feather made me think of an angel, a good entity, a beautiful lady... but the cold color of her skin started to make me wonder if this was maybe something a little darker, something with an evil tone that maybe I shouldn't walk up on. That complexity is great...

Snotblow - Maybe you're right (I've been looking too long to tell!). I thought maybe the tighter more refined detail of the figure would draw the eye away from the grass. Perhaps I should have made it softer.
Jane - I think I get a bit carried away with those soft underfeathers

vernardm - About 95% Painter IX and a little bit in Paint Shop Pro. This is actually my first finished piece since I got Painter IX. My other pieces were a combination of PSP and Painter Classic. Time and Fate was a pain to do - i had to break it into sections to work on it in Painter Classic - otherwise it would just crash! I'm a lot happier now I'm using Painter IX.

I'll try to get some more works done soon. I'm focusing on my latest CGChallenge entry at the moment...
Linda - I'm touched you would feel the need to comment twice!
Oh look - it's that warm fuzzy feeling come to get me again!
